Hi there! I'm Ieshia.
Fun fact: I didn’t always plan on becoming a tutor.

My original goal was to become a pediatric nurse — but the Lord gently redirected my steps toward education and the work I now truly love.
As a high school student, I spent countless hours volunteering in my church’s nursery. At first, I was simply helping out, but the more time I spent with children, the more I realized how much I enjoyed encouraging them, guiding them, and celebrating their small victories. That’s when I discovered I had a real calling to work with kids.

After graduating college, I knew a traditional classroom career wasn’t the right path for me. A mentor suggested I try tutoring, and from my very first session, I was hooked. The one-on-one connection, the ability to adapt every lesson to a student’s needs, and the joy of watching their confidence grow confirmed that this was the work I was meant to do.

Today, I tutor students in kindergarten through eighth grade, focusing on reading and math. My goal is to help each child build competence and confidence — to understand the material and believe in their ability to learn, even when it’s challenging. I teach with warmth and encouragement, breaking concepts into manageable steps and celebrating progress along the way.
When I’m not tutoring, you’ll find me outdoors hiking or camping around Conroe, Texas — bringing the same patience, persistence, and sense of wonder from nature into every tutoring session.
